School is in session! Yokota families, school faculty celebrate students return to school

Yokota parents and school faculty welcomed new and returning student back to school after summer break at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Aug. 18, 2025. Parents and teachers lined the hallways of Yokota Middle School to celebrate the beginning of a new semester. The school is one of 20 schools in the Department of Defense Education Activity's Pacific East District, which serves the children of service members and Department of Defense civilian employees.
