YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- The 374th Airlift Wing completed an aircraft arresting system certification, with the assistance of U.S. Navy F/A-18F Super Hornets assigned to the Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 195, at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 12, 2025.
The certification tests the stability and effectiveness of the 374 AW’s AAS when the aircraft cannot perform a standard landing in the event of an emergency.
