YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan --

Airmen from the 374th Airlift Wing participated in a Veterans Day runway run and retreat ceremony, honoring veterans of all wars while strengthening discipline, unity, and readiness across the unit.

Veterans Day began as Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I and honoring the peace that followed. It is a holiday meant to honor those who served and sacrificed for the United States’ freedom.
