YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules assigned to the 374th Air Expeditionary Wing at Yokota Air Base, Japan, conducted post-flight washes, also known as a bird bath, after landing during Operation Christmas Drop 2025 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 9, 2025.
The bird bath station was developed to minimize corrosion caused by flying over saltwater. The aircraft, aircrew, and support personnel ensure more than 56,000 remote Pacific islanders in the Indo-Pacific region receive humanitarian assistance bundles.
