Three Airmen from Yokota Air Base have been selected to attend the All-Air Force tryout camps Aug. 27- Sept. 14 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.

Headed to the camp are A1C Mychavia Harris, 374th Comptroller Squadron administrative support, 1st Lt. Shauna Barry, 374th Surgical Operations Squadron clinical nurse, and Tech Sgt. Dale Dominguez, 374th Security Forces Squadron flight chief.

Barry plays left-center and Harris third base for the Yokota Lady Warriors, the women's base team, and Dominguez plays third base for the men's base team, the Yokota Warriors.

"Softball has always been my passion and I have played competitive softball up through college. Before coming into the Air Force, I heard that there was an all AF team and it was my goal to one day make it and to continue to play the sport that I love," Barry said.

During the camp, they'll compete against 26 other Airmen for a spot on the 15-player All-Air Force teams.

"Military softball has such a huge community and I've gained so much knowledge and made a lot of friends to help me get to where I am at now," Dominguez said. "There's no greater satisfaction than having the opportunity to do something you've been striving for and taking advantage of it."

If they make the All-Air Force team, they will compete at the Armed Forces Softball Championships Sept. 13-19 in Fort Sill, Okla.
