Airlifters from the 374th Airlift Wing are taking to the sky alongside Republic of the Philippine counterparts during Exercise Balikatan. Balikatan, which means "shoulder to shoulder," is an annual bilateral training exercise involving 2,500 U.S. and 3,000 Philippine service members.

During the exercise, C-130H aircrews from the 36th Airlift Squadron are sharing low-cost, low-altitude (LCLA) tactics, techniques and procedures with Philiipine Navy personnel in order to strengthen interoperability and practice the ability to deliver humanitarian aid and supplies to remote regions during times of crises.
