Yokota Air Base is designated as a defense related facility where drone flights will be prohibited. Members and residents of Yokota Air Base who intend to fly a drone within the prohibited area, approximately 300 meters above and around Yokota Air Base and its surrounding area, are required to have permission from Yokota Air Base, land owners, etc., in advance and to notify the local police no later than 48 hours before the scheduled flight. 

Anyone who violates the regulation may be punished by imprisonment with labor of up to one year or a fine of up to 500,000 yen.
