MHS Genesis Town Hall Published Aug. 29, 2023 Click here to view the latest MHS Genesis "Yokota Go Live" information. Leaders from 374th Airlift Wing and 374th Medical Group will host a town hall in the Officer’s Club Ballroom at Yokota Air Base at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023. The event will be an opportunity for members of the community to learn about the upcoming MHS Genesis transition and to ask questions about the changes. MHS Genesis is the new Electronic Health Record for the Military Treatment Facilities (MTF). It integrates inpatient and outpatient electronic health records across the continuum of care from the point of service to the military treatment facility. MHS Genesis is integral in the provision and coordination of safe, quality care. Military Treatment Facilities across the Indo-Pacific theater will transition to MHS Genesis on October 28, 2023. MHS Genesis will provide 24/7 access to electronic health records, with patients able to also schedule medical appointments, place pharmacy renewals, view laboratory and test results, and securely message their medical care team. As Yokota AB transitions to the new system, beneficiaries should expect to experience longer than normal wait times for routine appointments and some services. The 374th MDG recommends beneficiaries begin scheduling needed appointments ahead of the transition, and to talk to your Primary Care Manager for questions about your care. Additionally, for community members who require daily medications such as blood pressure, birth control, or asthma medications, submit your refills in September to avoid any interruptions in your medications. The 374th MDG professional aim execute the transition effectively and to provide members with the information needed to ultimately deliver a better healthcare experience. The community is encouraged to start planning ahead of time and stay tuned for further updates and reminders.
