ONAHAMA, Japan -- Contractors from the Tokyo Electric Power Company practice emergency action drills at Onahama port near the Fukushima nuclear power plant March 29, 2011. The U.S. government provided water pumps and two barges to TEPCO to allow freshwater to be sprayed on the reactor. Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force vessels towed the barges from Yokosuka to the site. Eight Yokota Airmen designed and created necessary adapters, pressure valves and other pieces of equipment to modify the pumps for the mission. (U.S. Air Force photo/Osakabe Yasuo)
