YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Airmen and supervisors from Team Yokota listen inventively to information about obtaining Below the Zone and making packages that stand out. Below the Zone is a program that allows airmen who qualify, to sew on Senior Airman six months prior to promotion. Below the Zone is statistically the second hardest stripe to earn in the Air Force since only 15 percent of all eligible airmen obtain the stripe six months early.
