HAMURA, Japan -- Mr. Shoichi Takuchi changes the reel to reel audio recording of the Far East Network in his home in Hamura, Japan June 11. Mr. Takuchi made these recordings when he was a young man to practice his English and to listen to the music. FEN started broadcasting on Sept. 12, 1945 and broadcasted for 52 years until 1997 when the FEN network changed to the American Forces Network we have today.
