YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Airman 1st Class Mary Simpson, 374th Maintenance Squadron electrical and environmental systems apprentice, performs a function check March 19 of the overheat fire detectors and engines on a C-130 aircraft in the isochronal hangar. The 374th MXS Isochronal Inspection shop performs in-depth inspections of C-130s on a 450-day cycle and completes major maintenance that cannot be done on the flightline.
