Spirit of hope
Staff Sgt. Jared Boles, 374th Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance craftsman, delicately places nose art onto a C-130J Super Hercules at Yokota Air Base, Japan, May 19, 2017. The nose art design, "Spirit of Hope," which was designed and donated by graphic artist Samantha Beaty, celebrates the United States Air Force's dedication to providing humanitarian assistance and disaster relief to nations throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Since 1952, Yokota Air Base has been delivering hope throughout the Pacific area. By delivering HA/DR or airlift support, the USAF aircraft tail marking “YJ” have become, "Symbols of Hope," for people throughout the Pacific. (U.S. Air Force photo by Yasuo Osakabe)
