Approximately 350 Yokota Airmen showed up early Oct. 3 at the Yokota Field to participate in a 5k to kick off this year's Combined Federal Campaign.

The run was hosted to raise awareness about the different agencies Airmen can help support through the CFC.

"The CFC is such a great cause," said Staff Sgt. Kyle Wilkes, 374th Communications Squadron cable and antennae maintenance technician. "Anytime there is an event to support it, I make sure I'm there."

According to its official website, the CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign supporting more than 2,400 programs eligible for donations.

"Giving back a small contribution can go a long way. I'm always ready to give each year when CFC comes around," said Tech. Sgt. Carole Lampley, 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron assistant section chief of customer support.
