ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- U.S. Air Force and participating nation leadership joined in at the Operation Christmas Drop bundle build at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Dec. 5. During their time, leadership rolled up their sleeves to help pack bundles and learned about what goes into the mission that brings joy and holiday cheer to remote communities all across the Pacific.
OCD25 is the Department of War’s longest-running humanitarian airlift mission. It began in 1952 after a U.S. Air Force B-29 crew flying near Guam spotted islanders waving from below and dropped supplies as an act of goodwill.
