YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- U.S. and Japanese Girl Scouts joined in a Military SHeroes Day May 30, 2014, at Yokota Air Base, Japan. More than 50 girls from Yokota and the surrounding community joined in the event. The day focused on empowerment and also taught the girls about military operations. Activities on SHeroes Day ranged from first-hand looks inside a C-12 Huron, C-130 Hercules and a UH-1N Huey to canine and self-defense demonstrations.
