MILITARY AND DIPLOMATIC POST OFFICES

Mail

In Australia we have two types of mailboxes, DPO and APO.  Once you in-process with the 337th ASUF, we will notify you which category you fall under.

If you require a mailbox ahead of time, contact the person you are replacing to set that up.  They may require a copy of your orders.  Contact your gaining command if you need assistance in identifying your position’s incumbent.

DPO

If stationed near the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate, then a DPO address will be assigned to you.  The mailboxes are located in either location and you are required to pick up your mail from there.

APO

If you are not located near the U.S. Embassy or Consulate, then you will be assigned an APO mailbox. Please complete the Inbound Personnel Memo and the PEP Limitations Memo and email to Det4pacafairps@outlook.com.  Once your documents are received, the Det 4 Team in Sydney will let you know what unit number to use.

Your mailing address will look as follows;

Your Name

UNIT 110XX

APO, AP 96553

When you are about to leave Australia, please let us know and provide us with your forwarding address so we can forward any mail that we receive to your forwarding address. If we do not get a forwarding address we will return the mail to original sender.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Det 4 Team at Det4pacafairps@outlook.com
