Dependent Education/Non-DoD School Program

Australian schools typically begin in February and run through mid-December.  There are 4 terms in a school year with 2 week breaks in between terms.  Summer break typically runs from mid-December through January.

Payments

Upon receipt of your eligibility notification e-mail from NDSP, you will be responsible for organizing the submission of invoices to NDSP for payment processing.  It is your responsibility to submit invoices to NDSP.  Payment of fees to a school or personal reimbursement is initiated once you have arrived at the overseas duty location.

All invoices will need to be submitted through NDSP Invoices team: NDSP.Invoices.Pacific@hq.dodea.edu

Transportation Options in Priority Order

  1.  School/US Government Transportation -Priority 1:

If you use school or U.S. Government Transportation, you should follow the same process as "Payment for a School Invoice." https://www.dodea.edu/nonDoD/paymentReimbursement/ndspInvoices.cfm

  1.  Privately Owned Vehicle (P.O.V) –Priority 2:

To be reimbursed for POV Transportation, complete the following form and email to NDSP.Invoices.Pacific@hq.dodea.edu:

NOTE: To claim POV mileage, refer to the Defense Travel Management Office Mileage Rates, as rates change annually. Only one round trip per day is allowed to school and return. The one-way distance must exceed one mile to qualify for payment/reimbursement. POV mileage claims are to be submitted by school year (not calendar year). 

  1. Commercial Transportation-Priority 2

Commercial Transportation can be used if School or U.S. Government Transportation is unavailable. This type of transportation includes commercial modes of transportation such as a public bus, train, taxi, etc. If you use commercial transportation, you should follow the same process as "Payment for a School Invoice." https://www.dodea.edu/nonDoD/paymentReimbursement/ndspInvoices.cfm
