Inclement Weather Update

  • Published

Team Yokota,

Due to the inclement weather today and in consideration of everyone’s safety, the Wing authorized an early release as of 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 5. All non-essential personnel, to include active duty as well as U.S. and local national civilians are released from their work centers. For essential personnel, please consult with your chain of command for further instructions on early release.

Hours for the Child Development Center, after school care and the Samurai Dining Facility are unaffected by the early release. This afternoon, the CDC will call parents to provide further information and will not close until members pick up their children.

Currently, there are no anticipated gate or road closures due to the inclement weather. Scheduled base shuttle hours will remain unchanged until further notice. Additionally, the 374th Medical Group will maintain currently scheduled appointments both today and tomorrow, Feb. 6.

For tomorrow, Feb. 6, the Wing has authorized late reporting for non-essential personnel beginning at 10:00 a.m. For non-essential personnel, do not report to your work centers until after this time. The CDC will open at 9:30 tomorrow morning to allow members to be available at 10:00 a.m. Yokota schools will have a late start tomorrow, Feb. 6, with additional information in the attached flyer.

Further updated information will be provided as weather and road conditions change. Please continue to monitor official channels, including the Yokota Air Base Facebook page and official website for further information.
