Fini flight finalizes 31 years in service
OVER KANTO PLAIN, Japan -- Col. Otto Feather admires the view of the Kanto Plains during his final flight March 15, 2012 from the window of a C-130 Hercules. Known as the "fini flight," military aviators have a tradition where after completion of their final flight, aircrew members are met and hosed down with water by their squadron comrades, family and friends.
