Wing Vice Commander meets new NKDB director

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan -- Col. Bill Knight, 374th Airlift Wing vice commander, greets Kazuto Tsutsui, the new Director General for the North Kanto Defense Bureau, Ministry of Defense, before a meeting at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Feb. 1, 2012. The NKDB is a liaison between the U.S. military in Japan, the Japan Self-Defense Forces and local communities. They also finance construction projects to minimize noise problems caused by military bases. Most of the buildings on Yokota Air Base are funded and built by the government of Japan through NKDB.
