Relief supplies bring hope amidst the devastation

MATSUSHIMA, Japan -- Aircrew from a C-130 gaze across a sea of destruction in Matsushima, Japan. Nearly two weeks have passed since the area, once bustling with activity, was hit by an earthquake and tsunami. During the flight, members from the 36th Airlift Squadron, Yokota Air Base, delivered more than 11,000 pounds of relief supplies to support the Government of Japan's request for humanitarian assistance.
