Relief supplies bring hope amidst the devastation
MATSUSHIMA, Japan -- Silence shrouds an aircrew as their C-130 passes over a cemetery in Matsushima, Japan. Nearly two weeks have passed since the area was hit by an unforgiving earthquake and tsunami. During the flight, members from the 36th Airlift Squadron, Yokota Air Base, delivered more than 11,000 pounds of relief supplies to support the Government of Japan's request for humanitarian assistance.
