Yokota Kicks off Readiness Week
Cryogenics technicians from the 730th Air Mobility Squadron transfer liquid oxygen (LOX) to an oxygen reservoir in a C-17 Globemaster III at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 7, 2013. The Airmen are part of the "Brew Crew," a fuels management section in charge of LOX used in aircraft oxygen systems. When exposed to the open air, the minus 297 degree LOX evaporates into a gas.
