B-29 ceremony honors those who sacrificed all

Maxwell Taylor Kennedy and his daughter, Noah Isabella Rose Kennedy, greet Col. Douglas DeLaMater, 374th Airlift Wing commander, at a B-29 memorial ceremony in Gunma Prefecture, Japan, March 21, 2015. The ceremony marks the 70th anniversary of the crash between two B-29 Superfortress aircraft that killed 23 Airmen. Kennedy was the guest speaker for the event. He finished his speech by saying, “There are many different challenges and difficulties all around the world. There is no greater friendship between countries and between people like the bond between Japan and America.” (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Michael Wash-burn/Released)
