2016 Friendship Festival
A festivalgoer lifts a weighted dummy at the 374th Civil Engineer fire protection display during the 2016 Japanese-American Friendship Festival at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Sept. 17, 2016. Fire fighters at Yokota use the dummy to practice carries that could potentially save a life from a burning building, aircraft or vehicle. The festival gives community members a chance to come onto Yokota to see static aircraft, witness military demonstrations, learn about the capabilities and training done at Yokota and to meet with the US and Japan Self-Defense Force members who work and live here.
