Military Working Dogs
Senior Airman Cody Nickell, 374th Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, pets Topa, 374 SFS MWD, as a reward after searching a line of vehicles for explosives and other prohibited substances, Jan. 18, 2018, at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Topa is a six year old Belgian Malinois who is missing the top half of one ear, the tip of his tail and more than a few teeth; according to Nickell he couldn’t have asked for a better partner.
