Comm Flyaway kit ensures Yokota readiness during SRI
Staff Sgt. Preston Kaolelopono, 374th Communications Squadron radio frequency transmissions system supervisor, performs an operations check on the Communications Fly-Away Kit (CFK) during the Samurai Readiness Inspection at Yokota Air Base, Japan, Oct. 20, 2021. The 374th CS radio frequency transmission systems section are responsible for maintaining the kit. The CFK provides Non-secure Internet Protocol Router, Secure Internet Protocol Router and Voice Over Secure Internet Protocol, more commonly referred to as NIPR, SIPR and VOSIP respectively, within 30 minutes during emergency and contingency operations.
