PACAF commander visits Japan's Air Defense Command HQ

U.S. Air Force Gen. Ken Wilsbach, Pacific Air Forces commander, and Lt. Gen. Hiroaki Uchikura, Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, Air Defense Command commander, attend an office call during an annual site tour of U.S. Air Force and allied commands at Yokota Air Base, Nov. 1, 2021. Uchikura embodies some of the highest levels of Japanese military leadership, and his attendance represents synchronizing joint partner efforts across various domains within the Indo-Pacific region. The U.S. – Japan alliance mission is to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific, and is postured as a ready and lethal combination of forces to deter any adversary aggression that threatens that peace.
