Invasive species found on Yokota

An invasive beetle species known as the red-neck longhorn beetle has been identified on Yokota Air Base. These beetles are particularly attracted to cherry trees. As part of obligation under JEGS 2022.3.6, younger trees will be replanted in the affected areas.

If you encounter these beetles or notice their markings on trees, please report it promptly to 374 CES Environmental Element at 225-5440.
